Chairman Wang Jianlin Invited to Attend Series of Activities to Memorialize 10th Anniversary of 5.12 Earthquake

On May 12^th, Chairman Wang Jianlin was invited by the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Government to attend a series of activities to memorialize the 10^th anniversary of the 5.12 Earthquake.

When the Wenchuan earthquake occurred 10 years ago, Wanda Group actively contributed to earthquake relief and reconstruction, creating a number of “firsts”: Wanda was the first to give a large donation among domestic enterprises; Wanda donated RMB 310 million in total which was the largest amount from private enterprises throughout the country. Wanda employees donated 1,300 yuan per person which also was the largest among enterprises across the country; Wanda was the first enterprise to make a large investment in Sichuan after the earthquake. Chengdu Jinhua Wanda Plaza was the first commercial square opened in Chengdu after the earthquake.
