Wanda has committed enormous investments in building innovative ultra large cultural and tourism projects, including holiday resorts and cultural tourism cities. A cultural tourism city development would comprise of an ultra large Wanda Mall, a large outdoor theme park, a world class stage show, a cluster of hotels and a bar street, among others.

Chengdu Wanda City

At a total investment of 55 billion yuan, Chengdu Wanda Cultural Tourism City, situated at Binjiang New District, Dujiangyan City, Chengdu, occupies a 310-hectare site with gross floor area of 5 million square meters. The project will include a Wanda Mall, outdoor theme park, stage show, a hotel cluster and a Binjiang bar street, among others.

The Chengdu Wanda Mall will feature a ski park, a horror park, a movie park, a shopping mall and much more.

The resort and hotel cluster will comprise a luxury five-star resort hotel and two four-star hotels.

Binjiang bar street, meanwhile, will boast 20 renowned foreign and domestic bars and music bars.

Designed and directed by world top artists, Qingcheng Show is a high-tech stage show combining the local culture, Daosism, martial art, panda culture into one.

Guangzhou Wanda City

Guangzhou Wanda Cultural Tourism City is a 50 billion yuan investment project located in the city’s Huadu District. It covers 154 hectares and has a gross floor area of 3.8 million square meters. It will include a Wanda Mall, outdoor theme park, stage show, numerous hotels, a bar street and more.

Wanda Mall will comprise an indoor ski slope, water park, movie city and shopping mall.

The Ski Park will include four ski runs at different gradients, the longest of which will be 460 meters, with a maximum vertical drop of 66 meters. The park will be able to accommodate up to 3,000 skiers at a time.

The Wanda Movie Park will be a state-of-the-art entertainment project. The Multi-Dimensional Theater, "The Ghouls", is the first ride to combine a mobile platform with multiple degrees of mobility to a robot arm and a roller coaster.

Designed and directed by world top artists, Yue Show is a high-tech stage show featuring local culture.

Wuxi Wanda Cultural Tourism City

Wuxi Wanda Cultural Tourism City is situated on a 3.4 million square meters site in the city’s Binhu District. It has a gross floor area of 200 hectares, a total investment of 21 billion yuan and will house a Wanda Mall, stage show theater, outdoor theme park, cluster of hotels, a bar street and other projects. 

Wuxi Wanda Mall will feature a snow park, skating rink, water park, movie park, movie city, shopping mall and more.

The snow park has a gross floor area of 20,000 square meters with a large snowy area.

The project’s hotel area will contain one luxury five-star, one five-star, two four-star and two themed hotels with a combined 3,500 rooms and 5,000 beds.

Designed and directed by world top artists, Xi Show is a high-tech stage show featuring Wu Xi’s local culture.

Harbin Wanda City

Harbin Wanda Cultural Tourism City is a 20 billion yuan cultural tourism investment project located in the Songbei New District of Harbin. The project site covers an area of 80 hectares, with a gross floor area of 900,000 square meters and will include a Wanda Mall, outdoor theme park, numerous hotels and a stage show.

Wanda Harbin Mall will feature an indoor ski slope, indoor skating rink, stage show entertainment, a movie park and shopping mall.

The mall’s indoor skating rink is to be built in accordance with best-in-class international standards. It will stage world-class competitions.

Nine hotels are to be built with a combined 4,500 rooms and 6,000 beds. They will include a six-star hotel, five-star hotel, two four-star hotels and five themed hotels.

Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis

Located in the western part of Qingdao and funded with an investment of 50 billion yuan (US$8.6 billion), the Oriental Movie Metropolis is the world's largest investment of its kind in the film industry. 30 billion yuan (US$4.95 billion) of the project’s investment allocated towards the development of cultural tourism real estate. Occupying an area of 3.76 million square meters and a total gross floor area of 5.4 million square meters, the Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis is a large mixed-use film industry development that encompasses film studios, a film exhibition center, a Wanda Mall, a number of hotels and resorts, a yacht club, bar street, international hospital, school and other projects.

The Wanda Mall will include an indoor theme park, indoor water park, skating rink,  movie park, cinema and shopping mall.

It will have a stage show theater and film exhibition center.

Six hotels will be built including a luxury five-star hotel, five-star hotel, two four-star hotels and two boutique hotels with a combined 4,000 rooms and 6,000 beds.

Hefei Wanda Cultural Tourism City

Hefei Wanda Cultural Tourism City is located in Hefei Binhu New District and covers a gross floor area of 900,000 square meters. The project has a total investment of 19 billion yuan and will house a Wanda Mall, stage show theater, outdoor theme park, a cluster of hotels, a bar street and more.

Hefei Wanda Mall will include an indoor theme park, movie park, movie city, and a shopping mall.

The Movie Park will be equipped with cutting-edge film technology such as a 3D interactive theater and an immersive theater.

The city will house seven hotels including one luxury five-star, one five-star, two four-star and three three-star hotels, with a combined 3,500 rooms and 5,000 beds.

Nanchang Wanda City

The Nanchang Wanda Cultural Tourism City is a 21 billion yuan cultural tourism project located in the Honggutan Jiulonghu New Area of Nanchang. It occupies an area of 160 hectares and has a total gross floor area of 800,000 square meters.

Nanchang Wanda Mall is an indoor project comprising an aquarium, a Wanda Movie Park, a Wanda Cinema and a shopping mall.

The outdoor theme park is designed by leading theme park design consultants and will cover an area of 80 hectares.

Ten hotels will be built including one luxury five-star, one five-star, two four-star and six three-star hotels with a combined 4,000 rooms and 6,000 beds.

Xishuangbanna Resort Zone

Xishuangbanna International Resort is located close to Jinghong City, Yunnan Province. The entire development occupies an area of six square kilometers and will be built with a total investment of 16 billion yuan. The resort will house a theme park, hotels and resorts, a show theater, a shopping mall and a new tourism town.

Theme Park
The Xishuangbanna Theme Park occupies an area of 60 hectares and is Wanda’s first world-class outdoor theme park opened to public.

Banna Show Theater
Occupying a total of 2 hectares of land, the Banna Show Theater will be home to the Banna Show, a world-class stage performance collaboration between the world-renowned Franco Dragone Entertainment Group and the Wanda Group.

Resort Hotels
Three hotels will be built in the zone, including one luxury five-star Wanda Vista Hotel and two five-star Wanda Realm Hotels.

Shopping Mall
The resort zone’s shopping mall will have a total coverage of 80,000 square meters and include a department store, supermarket, cinemas, restaurants and 200 retail stores.

Changbaishan International Resort

Changbaishan International Resort (CIR) opened in Fusong County, Jilin Province in 2012 and is the largest tourism project in China. It has a total area of 21 square kilometers, with 11.5 sq km of this set aside for construction purposes. CIR is a 23 billion yuan investment project that is divided into north and south zones. The north zone has been designated as a new town for tourism while the south zone will be an international tourism and holiday district that includes a large ski resort, luxury resort hotels, a small tourist town and alpine ski cabins.

Ski Resort
The resort’s ski slopes were designed by Ecosign, a Canadian company responsible for designing five Winter Olympic venues. The skiing area covers seven square kilometers and includes 43 ski slopes of varying difficulties with a combined length of 30 kilometers, making it the largest ski resort in Asia.

Golf Courses
CIR also has two world-class golf courses; one 18-hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus and one 36-hole golf course designed by Robert Jones.

Luxury Holiday Zone    
The luxury Holiday Zone includes two luxury five-star hotels; the Park Hyatt and the Westin, five-star Hyatt and Sheraton hotels and a four-star Holiday Inn.

Tourist Town
The tourist town consists of a theater, cultural center, the Museum of Shaman Culture, a hot spring bathhouse and a commercial pedestrian street.

Wuhan Central Culture District

Wuhan Central Culture District is a 50 billion yuan investment project situated in downtown Wuhan’s Wuchang District, between the East Lake and the Shahu Lake. The project covers 1.8 square kilometers and has a gross floor area of 3.4 million square meters. The development is a mixed-use cultural tourism project featuring entertainment, tourism, commerce, business and residential functions.

Han Street
Extending 1.5 kilometers, Han Street is China’s longest urban commercial pedestrian street. It has a gross floor area of 210,000 square meters. The street is home to many cultural enterprises, retailers, restaurants, entertainment venues and other businesses and has average daily foot traffic of 100,000 people.

Han Show Theater
“Han Show” is a one-of-a-kind variety show that aims to become one of the world's leading stage show performances, while the Han Show Theater’s architectural design features a unique shape of a traditional Chinese red lantern.

Wanda Movie Park
Wanda Movie Park is the world’s only indoor movie-themed park with multiple rooms. The architectural design features the shape of a chime unearthed in Hubei.

Luxury Hotels
Wanda Group plans to build three luxury hotels on the East Lake including a five-star hotel, luxury five-star hotel and a premium luxury hotel.
