Wanda Group Offers Second Round of Poverty Alleviation Fund Worth RMB 50 Million

On January 12th, Wanda Group offered a second round to the Poverty Alleviation Fund worth RMB 50 million in Danzhai. This fund will benefit all impoverished people in Danzhai County.
After setting Danzhai as its poverty alleviation targeted county in 2014, Wanda Group initiated the “One enterprise responsible for an entire county” model. Wanda Group has donated 1.6 billion RMB in total, 500 million of which was used to establish a special poverty alleviation fund and distributed every year. The Local Poverty Alleviation Office revealed that Danzhai is expected to be out of poverty on the whole in this year, which is 2 years earlier than the previous plan.
According to statistics from the tourism administration, the total number of tourists who had visited Danzhai Wanda Village had reached 3,039,200 as of January 3rd, 2018, with the average daily number standing at 16,500. The village has generated RMB 2.093 billion in comprehensive tourism income for Danzhai County, helping to boost the incomes for 16,000 impoverished people.
