Chairman Wang Jianlin Delivers Important Speech
Wanda Group over-fulfilled the targets set for the first half of 2009 and developed at a record high speed despite the impacts of the international financial crisis and the domestic economic adjustment. On July 11, Wanda Group held a conference on its work in the first half of 2009 in the Sofitel Wanda Chengdu. Senior managers from the group headquarters and the Beijing region sent to Chengdu in two chartered planes and attended the conference along with leaders from various parts of the country. In his important speech, Chairman Wang Jianlin summarized the work in the first half of the year and outlined the work arrangements for the second half of the year. He also expressed his views on the trend of the Chinese economy and the prospect of Wanda Group. His speech was warmly welcomed by and won repeated applauses from the conference participants.

The participants heard the presentations on operational and management experience and expertise made by Zhang Yunji, general manager of the Chongqing Project Company; Chen Hongtao, general manager of the Chengdu Commercial Management Company; Wen Bo, deputy general manager of the Sofitel Wanda Harbin; Guo Jianqiang, general manager of the Huizhou Wanda Cinema; and He Tao, general manager of the Van’s Store Xi’an. All these units have made outstanding achievements in the first half of the year.

In the afternoon, the participants held discussions along their business lines on how to implement the spirit of Chairman Wang’s speech and fulfill the tasks set for the whole year.
