Wanda donates 10m yuan to quake-hit area

Wanda Group donated 10 million yuan soon after Lushan was hit by a strong earthquake on April 20, 2013.

A 7.0-magnitude quake struck Lushan County, Ya’an City, Sichuan Province on April 20, resulted in 196 people dead, 24 missing, at least 11,826 injured with more than 968 seriously injured.

Wanda Group takes as its corporate mission to "jointly create wealth for the public welfare of the society" and has always been the first to stand out at critical moments to actively assist in disaster relief.

Over the past 25 years, cash donations to charities from Wanda Group have exceeded 3.1 billion yuan, making the group one of the largest charity donator among Chinese enterprises. Wanda Group has won the China Charity Award for seven times, becoming the only Chinese company to have this honor.
