Wanda hotel branch wins Golden Pillow Awards

Wanda Hotels and Resorts Co Ltd received the “2013 China Top Hotel Management Group” award at the 10th Annual Chrysler Golden Pillow Awards ceremony staged in Beijing on July 8th.
The company’s flagship Quanzhou Wanda Vista Hotel was awarded best newly opened business hotel in South China for 2013, and the Huaian Wanda Realm Hotel was awarded best newly opened business hotel in Eastern China for 2013. This is the second time, since its establishment, that Wanda Hotels and Resorts has attended this event and won the awards.
“Since 2007, we have already successfully partnered with 5 major international hotel brands to open 32 hotels across China,” said Wanda Hotels and Resorts Co Ltd Vice President Mr Llja Poepper, “In addition, Wanda successfully opened 6 self-branded and managed hotels as well as 6 self-branded partner managed hotels in 2012. Wanda plans to open a further 17 luxury hotels this year, 9 of which will be self-branded and managed. By 2014, we intend to open 40 partner managed hotels and 38 self-branded, self-managed hotels, aiming to bring our total number of hotels to 104 by 2015. “
The Golden Pillow Award has been co-hosted by the 21st Century Business Herald and the Business Travel Magazine since 2004 and is widely recognized as Asia’s most prestigious hotel awards. 2013 marks the ceremony’s 10th year since its inception in 2004.
