Harbin City in Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province celebrated the openings of the Haxi Wanda Plaza and the Wanda Realm Hotel on September 13.
Government officials, including Vice Governor of Heilongjiang Province Zhang Jianxing, Harbin CPPCC Chairman Jiang Ming and Harbin Executive Vice Mayor Nie Yunling, as well as Wanda Group Chairman Wang Jianlin attended the opening ceremony, witnessing this joyful moment with nearly 1,000 residents.
At the ceremony, Wang Jianlin also donated 10 million yuan to flood-stricken areas in the province.
The Haxi Wanda Plaza is the third Wanda urban complex in Harbin following the Central Street Wanda Plaza and Xiangfang Wanda Plaza. It is located in the downtown of the city and adjacent to the Habin West Station. With a construction area of 860,000 square meters, the plaza combines several functions including business, commerce, entertainment, residence and culture into a complex.
The plaza comprises a large shopping center, five-star hotel, outdoor walking street, office building and well-furnished residential building.
Besides Wanda Department Store, Wanda Cinema and Superstar KTV, it attracted nearly 100 famous brands like ZAZA, H&M and UNIQLO, as well as a diverse range of restaurants, providing one-stop shopping experience.
The opening of Haxi Wanda Plaza will greatly accelerate the upgrading of commercial facilities in Haxi New District, promote the local land value, and increase Harbin's influence. The plaza will create nearly 10,000 jobs and pay a large sum of taxes to the local government.
The Wanda Realm Hotel, which opened the same day, is the only five-star hotel in western Harbin.
