Jingkai Wanda Plaza breaks ground

A groundbreaking ceremony was held for Wanda's latest project, the Jingkai Wanda Plaza, on March 3 in Dalian. Attending the ceremony were senior government officials including Provincial Committee Member and Party Secretary of Dalian,Tang Jun; Party Committee Secretary of Dalian New District, Xu Changyuan; as well as Chairman of Dalian Wanda Group, Wang Jianlin and other distinguished VIP's. Jingkai is the company's second Wanda Plaza project in Dalian and is set to become a new urban center for Jingkai New City, as well as a cornerstone project for the city of Dalian.

The project, which is being developed with a total investment of 10 billion yuan, covers a total area of 9.87 Hectares, with a Gross Floor Area of 730,000 square meters. The development will include a large shopping mall, a five-star Wanda Realm hotel, a commercial pedestrian street, Grade A office buildings and soho luxury apartments. The shopping mall and hotel are both scheduled to open in August 2015, creating close to 10,000 jobs and generating billions in annual tax revenue.
