Wanda's China Drum sets Guinness record for world's largest drum shaped structure

A ceremony was held to celebrate the entry of China Drum into the Guinness book of records.

The Exhibition Center of Hefei Wanda Cultural Tourism City, China Drum, has won a place in the Guinness World Records as the world's largest drum shaped building, becoming Anhui province's first structure to set the Guinness record.
The building stands at a height of 18.13 meters with a diameter of 58.52 meters and a gross floor area of 4,650 square meters.
A ceremony was held in the Hefei Wanda Cultural Tourism City on October 18 to celebrate the entry of China Drum into the Guinness book of records with UNDP officials and diplomats from eight countries present.
At the ceremony, Hefei Vice-Mayor Wu Chunmei said the local government attaches great importance to the construction of cultural tourism projects, especially the Wanda Cultural Tourism City, and China Drum's Guinness record will increase Hefei's influence as an international tourism destination as well as boost the local economy.
Vice-Governor of Anhui province Hua Jianhui also sent her congratulations on hearing about the China Drum.
