Wanda Cinema Line half-yearly revenues jump significantly to RMB 3.48 bn YoY

Wanda Cinema Line became the world’s most valuable publicly traded cinema company on January 30, 2015

Wanda Cinema Line (002739) announced its earnings results for the first 6 months of 2015 on the evening of July 5. The company's first half revenue rose 41% to 3.48 billion yuan, a 138% fulfillment of its performance target. Revenue from box office sales rose 43.3% to 2.85 billion yuan, meeting targets by 138%.

Online ticket sales rose by a staggering 300% to 1.55 billion yuan, while the chain's number of members exceeded 40 million, 80% of which engaged in direct consumption. In addition, total attendance jumped by 37.5% to 64.77 million times

 As of June 30, 2015, Wanda Cinema Line operates 191 theatres with 1694 screens.
