Wanda produces outstanding "green" report card for 2015

Wanda Group, while having obtained enormous success in its business operations in 2015, also turned in an excellent score card in corporate social responsibility. In particular, the Group ranked ahead of corporate China in terms of employment creation, environmental conservation and philanthropy.
In 2015, Wanda Group opened 26 Wanda Plazas, 13 five-star hotels, created 105,000 new jobs, of which university graduates numbered 40,000. The number of jobs created by Wanda alone accounted for 1% of total new jobs created in China for the year. In aggregate, Wanda Group has created more than one million jobs, more than any company in China.
Wanda Group supported 57 university graduates in starting their own businesses in 2015, and 95% of them turned out to be successful.
In 2015, Wanda Group paid RMB30.2 billion in taxes, a year-on-year increase of 10%, meaning it continues to rank ahead of private enterprises in China in terms of tax contribution.
Wanda Group's cash donations amounted to RMB360 million in 2015, bringing the total amount donated by the company since its inception to more than RMB5 billion. It is one of the companies that have made the largest amount of charitable donations in China. In 2015, Wanda Group organized a total of 1,476 volunteer events, an average of more than once per person per year. To date, the company has held close to 105,000 volunteer events.
Wanda's Danzhai County poverty alleviation program pioneered a new poverty alleviation model for companies in China. In 2015, construction work fully commenced on the project, which includes a RMB300 million college that can accommodate 2,000 students.
In the same year, Wanda Group received 70 government issued Green Building Design Label certifications, 20 Green Building Operation Label certifications and 10 Green Hotels Certifications. To date, the Group has received 251 Green Building Design Label certifications, 66 Green Building Operation Label certifications, and 42 Green Hotels Certifications. Wanda Group has received the largest number of Green Building Label certifications in China, far surpassing that of other companies.
