Wanda Tourism joins forces with Ali Trip, exploring the "Internet + tourism" model

On May 12, Wanda Tourism signed strategic cooperation agreement with Alibaba's Ali Trip on the 13th World Tourism Forum, marking the launch of their comprehensive partnership in the smart tourism field. Both parties shall explore cooperation on the "Wanda Venue" project to build a new online tourism service platform based on quality data source and credit system.

This cooperation move marks the in-depth integration of traditional tourism and Internet, a brand-new attempt of "Internet + tourism" model.

Ali Trip, as a leading comprehensive tourism service platform, provided tourism booking service for over 100 million tourists in 2015 and bridged vendors to over 400 million active users of Alibaba. It is strongly backed up by the most powerful combo of Alibaba Group: Sesame Credit, Alipay, Huabei and Alicloud. This joining hands of Ali Trip and Wanda Tourism is in core a profound integration of powerful tourism service platform data and excellent tourism resource, standing as a significant reshaping move in the smart tourism field.

Wanda Tourism, soon to be the first tourism company establishing brand venue on the platform of Ali Trip, plans to integrate its 12 tourism agencies and related resource of scenic spots and hotels, capitalize the online and offline marketing platform and explore marketing promotion, product cooperation and sales cooperation in joint hands with Ali Trip. The key content of cooperation of both parties include promotion of "Wanda Tourism Flagship Store on Ali Trip", marketing cooperation on the major activity of "Nov. 11 Promotion", building offline Ali Trip service station, e-ticket co-promotion, MaShangYou(scenic spots pass by code-scanning) and hotel credit etc. Looking forward, both parties shall realize combination of advantageous resource, create an O2O (online to offline) closed circuit in tourism field, and provide more professional, user-friendly and standardized service to tourism customers and bring high-quality user experience and customer serivce to them, achieving a wining situation for three parties.
