On May 20, the philanthropic activity themed "children from mountainous regions come see the ocean" was held at Nanchang Wanda Ocean Park. Students from seven Jiangxi primary schools gathered at Wanda Ocean Park, making them the first batch of "young VIP guests" at the opening of the theme park.

Jiangxi is a mountainous landlocked province. Local children, particularly those from the mountainous regions, have little opportunity to come into close contact with the ocean from young. To allow children from mountainous regions to better understand and experience the joy that comes from the ocean, Nanchang Wanda Ocean Park, in conjunction with businesses from various channels, held this event.

On the day of the activity, the children, led by workers of the Ocean Park, visited the cold water ocean region, tropical rain forest region, vast ocean region, and tropical ocean region. What most thrilled the children were the touch pool, performance by sea animals, and the ocean laboratory. At the touch pool, the children were able to touch non-toxic and non-aggressive sharks, stingrays and starfish at close range. Xiao Qianhao from Taihe exclaimed excitedly, "I used to think that all sharks bite people. I only found out today that there are also sharks that are as docile as small fish."

When business commence, Nanchang Wanda Ocean Park will also regularly hold general marine science lectures, touch experience, watching the world through fish eyes and other interactive activities so that children visiting the Ocean Park would enjoy genuine academic learning through play.

The young guests who participated in the "children from mountainous regions come see the ocean" philanthropic event were the first to experience "watching the world through fish eyes", i.e., the fulldome digital movie in the landmark building at the Ocean Park, which allows viewers to get a feel of deep sea exploration as small marine creatures in this "deep sea pearl" through a 360-degree seamless panoramic immersive experience.

Lee Seon Gho, General Manager of Nanchang Wanda Ocean Park said that as a marine philanthropic practitioner, the Ocean Park will create opportunities for more children who are unable to come into contact with the sea normally in the future.
