Wanda Group held its second annual staff Fun Run at Beijing’s Olympic Forest Park on June 5. Hundreds of employees from all departments of Wanda Group ran together, starting the 5-kilometer race at the south entrance of the park.

Employees competed in teams, with all team members required to complete the entire length of the race. Team results, timed with professional time chips, were based on the final time of the last member of each team.

This year’s event took place simultaneously in Beijing and Shanghai, and Shanghai participants—running in Dishui Lake—predominantly came from Wanda’s Financial Group. The company added a “Family Run” section this year to encourage all family members to participate in sports.

The team from the Cultural Tourism Planning and Research Institute took first prize, followed by teams from Beijing’s Commercial Property Development Center and Commercial Planning & Research Institute. The first prize in the individual competition in Beijing went the Cultural Tourism Planning and Research division’s Shi Tianxu, who placed first with a time of 19 minutes and 58 seconds.

Wanda’s 99Bill ranked first place in Shanghai, where Xiong Yidong from Ffan Technology won the 8-kilometer individual competition with a time of 36 minutes and 21 seconds.

Wanda’s top 100 runners will go on to form the “Wanda Care Running Team,” participating in the Olympic Day Long-distance run held by the Chinese Olympic Committee and contributing to children with congenital heart disease.
