Wanda to Build World's First Culture, Tourism, Sports and Commerce Super Complex

Wanda Group Chairman Wang Jianlin gives a speech during the signing ceremonyOn August 26, Wanda Group signed agreement with Jinan Municipal Government to invest RMB 63 billion to construct Jinan Wanda Culture, Sports and Tourism City, the 13th super culture & tourism project of Wanda in China. Besides culture, tourism and commerce elements, Jinan Wanda City introduces sports theme for the first time, marking the Wanda City project with the most varied commercial formats.

Jinan Wanda City locates in Licheng District, adjacent to the down town of Jinan, capital of Shandong province, with floor coverage of 290 hectares and floor area of 5.3 million square meters. In which, RMB 31 billion is invested in culture, sports and tourism sections, which is planned with Wanda Mall, outdoor theme park, ice hockey-basketball stadium, hotel cluster, large stage show and bar street.

Compared with other Wanda City, Jinan Wanda City features with sports theme. The ice hockey-basketball stadium holds 10,000 seats and switches between basketball court and ice hockey court. It can hold major international sporting events and serve as play fields for professional hockey clubs and professional basketball clubs. Jinan Wanda City also directs in sports themes of hiking, outdoor extreme sports, bicycle, football training.

Wanda Mall includes Adventure Park, Ocean Park, Flying cinema and Kids Place. Adventure Park is the world's first themed entertainment commercial format, including multimedia dynamic platform, full scene fall-off to bring a thrilling and adventurous world. The Ocean Park combines animal visit, performance and interactive and presents extraordinary ocean experience. "Fly-by Shandong" flying cinema applies 6-dimension dynamic platform, providing immersion flying experience for the marvellous scenery of Shandong Province from a bird view. The world's pioneering children's park includes children playground, technology experience and children education.

The outdoor theme park is a world-class theme park with coverage of 42 hectares. With background of Qi-Lu Culture, the theme park establishes entertainment facilities with world's highest technology, including the Tai Mountain themed multi-layer breaking rail multimedia roller coaster and the world's only full-scene dome-screen cinema. The hotel region embodies 3 resort hotels, including 1 six-star hotel and 2 five-star hotels.

Jinan Wanda City is planned to break ground in 2017 and start operation in 2021 It is expected to receive over 20 million tourists, create 20,000 jobs and generate large amount of tax.

Jinan Wanda City is projected to lift the culture, sports, tourism facility level of Jinan to a world-class level and make it a global tourism attraction destination and become the new engine for the transformation and upgrade of Jinan, said Wang Jianlin, Chairman of Wanda Group.
