AMC completes Odeon & UCI Acquisition as Wanda Continues its Global Cinema Expansion

BEIJING, Dec. 2, 2016 - Dalian Wanda Group's AMC Entertainment Holdings announced it has completed its acquisition of the largest theatre exhibitor in Europe, London-based Odeon & UCI Cinemas Holdings Ltd, making a further step in completing Wanda's global exhibitor chain.
Wanda is now the largest movie exhibition company in the world and a leading force in the world’s top three film markets: North America, Europe and China.
With 244 theatres and 2,243 screens, Odeon accounts for 20% market share in Europe. It is also the #1 theatre operator in major European countries including the UK, Ireland, Italy and Spain. Most of Odeon theaters are located in prime locations in European cities.
