AMC Closes Carmike Acquisition to Become the World’s Largest Cinema Chain

On December 21, AMC Theaters’ acquisition of Carmike Cinema was approved by relevant department in the U.S. and successfully completed, making it the largest U.S. movie theatre chain and the largest single theatre chain in the world. After the acquisition, AMC owns more than 900 theatres and 10,000 screens.
