Wanda Cinema Lines off to a flying start in the New Year with Spring Festival box office takings up 19.4% year-on-year

Wanda's cinema staff across the nation put up a good show at meeting strong cinema attendance, providing good operating support. All core indicators were sharply higher than that in previous years. Under the headquarters' centralized arrangement, the close to 400 cinemas carried out a brand marketing campaign entitled "Have a Happy New Year, Watch a Great Movie". Taking local customs into consideration, Wanda Cinemas across the the country planned thematic activities that were rich and vivid in content.
Incomplete statistics revealed that during the seven-day Spring Festival period, Wanda Cinema Lines saw attendance of 9.69 million (+11.8% year-on-year) with aggregate box office at RMB430 million (+19.4% year-on-year). In the comparable period, the attendance of China's film market rose 4% with box office up 8%, year-on-year. All indicators of Wanda Cinema Line outperformed the market, and year-on-year market share increased by 1.5 percentage points, a wonderful start to the New Year.
