Cornerstone-Laying of Xi’an Minleyuan Wanda Plaza

On December 12, a grand ceremony was held to lay the cornerstone for the Xi’an Minleyuan Wanda Plaza and the Jiefang Road Overall Renovation Project. This project will erect a permanent milestone for the Jiefang Road Business Circle and the commercial development in the city of Xi’an. Chen Baogeng, Mayor of Xi’an, Lu Kai, Party Secretary of New Urban District, Zhang Cheng, Vice President of Dalian Wanda Group, and other leaders attended and spoke at the ceremony.

As the largest commercial real estate project in the imperial city of Xi’an, the Minleyuan project is the second city complex project invested and constructed by Wanda Group after the successful development and construction of the Yanta Road Wanda Plaza.

The project is located in the core area of the Jiefang Road business circle within the imperial city of Xi’an. The project is the largest commercial project within the ancient city walls, comprising commercial center, apartment buildings, housing and ground floor stores. It is expected to be inaugurated in December 2009. By then, it will be the largest and highest-quality general commercial center in Xi’an and even the whole northwest China, which will incorporate shopping, recreation and entertainment.
