The conference emphasized that any personnel of the group who accept bribes from construction units, materials suppliers, tenants and business contacts must be dismissed irrespective of their positions. If the bribes were large in value and the nature was serious, the offenders would be sent to the judicial organs for criminal liabilities. At the same time, the conference requested all departments, offices and companies of the group must organize discussions, make self-examinations, find loopholes and adopt remedial measures.
In his speech, Chairman Wang Jianlin said that the reason why Wanda Group must be firm in advocating integrity and fighting against corruption was that integrity was the first and primary measure to prevent corporate collectives from becoming seriously corrupt. Next, Wanda Group was against using positions for selfish gains and creating income gaps and encouraged its employees to acquire higher income through hard work. Thirdly, corruption was inevitably a form of interest swap that harmed corporate interest and impeded corporate development.
Chairman Wang Jianlin noted that corruption injured both the committers and other people, but the committers were the main victims who would lose both reputation and future.
In conclusion, Chairman Wang Jianlin expressed Wanda Group’s determination to fight against corruption, saying anybody found to have problems in integrity would be firmly dealt with, no matter who they were.
